Options automation built around defined risk.

Mean Sigma Trading is a private, invite-only index options automation platform centered on defined-risk premium selling. Our approach combines probability, market context, and systematic trade management: size deliberately, enter selectively, and manage each position with a plan.

Access to the platform is by invitation. The public site is for information and education.

Our approach

Probability sets the framework. Discipline drives the trade.

Our focus is index premium selling through credit spreads, iron condors, and iron butterflies. We study expected moves, volatility, and mean reversion, while respecting that trends can persist. Each strategy has its own entry conditions, position limits, and exit rules.

01

Let conditions lead

Volatility, price behavior, scheduled events, and available credit shape the decision to trade. Waiting is part of the process when conditions do not fit.

02

Build exposure deliberately

Size positions against their potential loss. Stagger entries where the strategy calls for it, and account for overlapping exposure across trades and expirations.

03

Automate the discipline

Define profit targets, loss exits, and adaptive trailing rules in advance. Pausing new entries and managing open positions are separate decisions.

04

Learn from the full record

Review wins and losses by strategy, entry time, and market conditions. Evaluate drawdowns, costs, and sample size alongside win rate before refining the rules.

Defined risk

Define the exposure. Manage the position.

Protective long options are part of the structure from entry. For our credit spreads, iron condors, and iron butterflies, strike widths and the credit actually received determine the maximum expiration loss while the complete, same-expiration structure remains intact, before costs.

That structural limit anchors position sizing. Profit targets, loss exits, and adaptive trails guide management along the way, but a stop is not a guaranteed fill. Our focus is European-style, cash-settled index options, which have no early assignment; liquidity, slippage, fees, and operational reliability still matter.

Structure before sizeProtective wings, actual entry credit, and total exposure set the risk budget.
Management with contextStrategy-specific exits respond to position progress and changing market conditions.
Execution mattersAccount for available liquidity and costs. Automation supports discipline; it cannot guarantee an outcome.
